I can admit that one week ago... I had no real clue about this movie.
I think that redeems some of my nerdiness.
Or not.
Last week, Josh and I watched the original TRON. It is considered one of the first movies to use computer graphics. I'll say, even being an 80's movie... the graphics were impressive for 30 years ago. Here's the original trailer:
See, pretty good graphics for the years of neon colors and parachute pants.
Now, enter TRON:Legacy. The new movie is a direct sequel that takes place 20 years later:
The soundtrack to the new movie is a collaboration between Hans Zimmer and Daft Punk. So naturally, I'm more excited about the music than the film, though I may change my mind once I see it in 3-D.
Nerd status is now astronomical.
We're seeing the midnight premiere with Adam, Brian, and possibly the Moodys. I really hope Clark and Katie come, I feel like less of a geek when there's another girl around.
I'm probably going to take my kleenex box and some cough drops with me, this sickness is still pretty bad but when you've paid $10 for the ticket and the 3-D glasses... you're going no matter what.
End of line.
