State of the Union

One of the reasons we've decided to have a private blog is because we want to be able to share where we are in life, but be able to control who is reading about those events.

Right now, I'm waiting to hear back from a job interview that I went to on Wednesday night. The job would be at a local kennel. I would be doing everything from reception to cleaning runs to rotating dogs from place to place. It would be incredibly different from what I do now. Even the hours would be different. Instead of my Monday-Friday 8-5, it would be 6-8 hour shifts between the hours of 6am-10pm Monday-Saturday. I would be on my feet most of the day versus sitting at a desk. Right now, I'm looking forward to hearing back from them to see if I'll get a second interview.

Josh will put in his application for nursing school in January. He's done a fantastic job balancing school, home and work. He's looking at straight A's this semester. Go Josh. He's so fantastic.

We're both looking forward to seeing families over the holidays. We've been doing a little bit of travel already, but won't start any big trips until this weekend.

This Friday we're headed to Houston to see Andrew Peterson's "Behold the Lamb of God" tour. It is my favorite Christmas/all around album. We'll also be spending the weekend in Magnolia and Lake Jackson with Josh's grandpa, Harley. Harley sometimes reminds me of Cotton Hill, but he's not as mean. He's just ornery.

Only 1.5 weeks until Christmas freedom, my friends.

During the break, I will finish up photo editing, do some sewing projects, and organize the closets in my house. Amen.
