A Valentine's Note

Dear Joshua Dale,
In the song, when it says, "You give me fever", it does not mean that you have the flu delivered from your work to me on Valentine's Day Night. I know that  this can be confusing and all, since it talks about Pocahontas and John Smith and that using our knowledge of history we know that the Anglican people just gave the Native American's small pox. However, this is a little bit different.

Cough drops were not my idea of Valentine's treats, even if they are the Ricolla Honey & Herb ones that I like to eat.

All this fussing to say, I love you. Thank you for loving me when I am happy, irrational, sick and sarcastic. That you for always pointing me to the One who loves me even more than you can. I am thankful that you seek Him as your example for how to love me better each day. You make me blush and my cheeks flush, though right now that may just be the infection working it's magic.

Seriously though, once I get better we're going to work on figurative vs. literal language.

You give me (low grade) fever,
Yours.

PS: Lunch was fantastic. Thanks for taking me to my favorite little place.
