This causes me grief, because you're more than halfway to the 1 year mark, but what can I do but sigh and then run after you because you're halfway across the house.
You are a mover! You army crawl EVERYWHERE much to the dismay of Dad, me, and the dog. Grimm is your favorite live thing to follow after. You've developed a taste for his paws and his elk antler that none of us find amusing except you.
You have continued to eat and eat and eat. This month you tried strawberries, spaghetti (chopped really small), green beans, peaches, cereal puffs, dried yogurt drops, and a little sip of Dr. Pepper. You figured out that drinking from a glass is something you'd much rather do, but until you can get some better hand-eye coordination down we're gonna just graduate to a "big boy" cup. You have a couple sippy cups, but they don't entice you at all. We're going to instead give you a cup with a straw attached since you're more interested in those.
You spent your first night away from mommy and daddy this month so that we could get away for a night to celebrate our anniversary. You stayed with your Mimi and Gpaw and did great. I did pretty well, too, but was glad to be back with you the next day.
You love to laugh and smile. Everyone always comments how content you are just to be where everyone else is. You love music, books, and talking. You don't have any words, but you babble "ba", "ma", "da", "ga/la" (we're not sure which sound is actually is), "heh", "ah", and blow rasberries on your own and on other people. You can give kisses on demand, head butt your dad, and we're working on giving high fives.
No teeth yet, but you constantly rub your gums and pull your ears.
We're working on the word "no" and that fit throwing is not an acceptable practice in this house. You seem to disagree because, OH MY WORD when you don't get your way you pitch a FIT.
You have such a goofy personality. Lately you LOVE being the center of attention and get into these moods where everything makes you crack up. You love to have "conversations" with us and play with Daddy. He's definitely your favorite person to play with and he can always make you laugh.
You are such a JOY, little one. I love you.
