Jude went to the doctor for his 2 week well baby check today. He's doing great and our AMAZING doctor said he looks fantastic. His reflexes were all great and he's gaining weight really well. He even at one point said, "Is he always this chill?" Josh said that's awesome, because apparently he doesn't say that to all his patients... so we were pretty proud parents. :)
He also had to go back to The Med and get a heel stick. Josh held him for it because I don't do needles. At one point the nurse asked if I wanted to hold and nurse him before we started... poor nurse, she doesn't know that there was a reason Mommy was across the room fiddling with her purse. When she stuck him, Jude just opened his eyes really wide, then settled down. He only got mad when she wouldn't let go of his heel. Baby boy did NOT get Mommy's pain tolerance, he's a champ.
Here's his stats from the doctor's visit and what's going on in his little life. Don't know that anyone else cares, but it's nice for me to keep a little record. I'll try to do these each month or after his doctor's visits.
Weight: 7 pounds 12 ounces
Length: 21.25 inches
Eating: Nursing only. 6am, 9am, 1pm, 4pm, 8pm, 10pm, 1am, 4am. (It's not exact... but this is about how our schedule works right now, give or take 30 minutes.)
Bedtime: He goes down for "bed" after his 10pm feeding.
Awake: After our 6am feeding we usually get up for the day. Sometimes we both try to sleep again for a couple hours.
Naps: We're starting to stay awake more during the day, but we get a long nap in from 9am-1pm and then usually from 4pm-8pm. He loves him some nap time!
Diapers: Newborn size, but I hate our current pack of Huggies, so I also use size 1 diapers.
Clothes: Newborn only. I put some 0-3 month onesies on him while we're home, but they swallow him right now.
Favorites: Eating, sleeping, filling diapers, laying on Mommy/Daddy's chest, and being rocked and sang to sleep after our night feedings. (Rocking him to sleep may also be Mommy's favorite thing, but who can say!?)
Latest Tricks: Leaking through diapers (darn you, Newborn Huggies!), finding Mommy and Daddy's face, going cross-eyed.
