There are so many changes happening around here!
This year is definitely going to be a bit year for Josh and I. We’re only eleven days into the New Year and there are a couple big changes coming our way. We’ve held off talking about them publically since we were waiting to see how they played out and needed to make sure certain people knew first, but we’re FINALLY able to share them both.
No, I’m not pregnant with twins… or at all, for that matter.
1. We’re moving!
We’ve been toying with the idea of moving this wagon down the trail for awhile. Don’t get me wrong, we have L-O-V-E-D our time in the house and have definitely been blessed to have so much space. However, with Josh (hopefully) starting nursing in the fall and some other big things coming up, we just kind of felt like it was time for us to move out of the house and into something a little bit smaller for awhile.
The good news is, we’re still in our beloved College Station, just 5 or so miles down the road. We probably won’t know until March our exact place, but we’re talking to a rental agency right now and have picked out a couple of duplexes that we want to choose from. We’ll be closer to our church and within walking distance to quite a few good friends.
Most likely we’ll be moving in May 2011, which will come up quicker than we realize. If you’re in the College Station area, we’ll be organizing a big move day once we know specifics. Josh and I are willing to bribe you all with food and fun in exchange for your trucks and time.
2. I have a new job!
Beginning February 2, I will no longer be at TAMU. It all fell into my lap VERY quickly, but after prayer and a lot of confirmation; I will be working at Aggie Pet Zone here in town. It’s a big job change, but one I’m looking forward to. I’ve always had an interest in working at a kennel full time (I worked at one part time a number of years ago) and I am more than excited to be able to pursue this full time.
I’ll be doing a number of things: reception, running dogs through the kennels, some networking and PR, and beginning to shadow training classes in hopes of teaching them someday. Grimm doesn’t realize the life change he’s in for… he’ll be able to come to work with me and also be subjected to many, many, many a training class in his near future.
These, along with Josh applying for Blinn’s nursing program equal a whole lot of things coming our way. We’ve said all along, this is NOT where we saw the Lord leading us a year and a half ago. He’s completely blown us away with how much better his plans are for us than our plans for ourselves. We consider ourselves so blessed to be where we are in life and are definitely enjoying this season.

Andrea, I hope we get to do this nursing school thing together to! We would be the best nursing school wives ever. I think if this happens, we should start a "Spoons and Studying" night. You know... guys study, gals go to Spoons.
