I think the silence around here for the last month and a half or so is such a contrast to what life has looked like for us in real world.
For your reading pleasure, and my documentation's sake, here's the semi-skinny on what all has happened since I last updated. Each of these would have probably been their own post, except I don't even pretend to have time to sit down and write regularly.
1. Josh graduated: On May 11, our families came up to help us celebrate Josh's graduation from nursing school. The last two years have been long and fast at the same time, but either way we're excited that we can close that chapter of our lives. Since we got married, we've been looking forward to the day Josh would finish up and we could say "goodbye!" to higher education for awhile. He worked so hard to juggle school, church, a full time job, family, and a sliver of a social life during that time and I'm so proud of him.
2. We moved: Since our old town home wasn't the best set up for a crazy toddler in need of some extra running space, we upgraded to a 2/2 1-story duplex. It's actually borders a neighborhood that we'd like to buy in eventually, so that was a plus. It has a nice little yard that's great for Jude to play in, and since it's only a 1-story, Jude can roam the entire house without us worrying about stairs. Eventually I'll take some photos and have a post so family far away can see it, but for now, just know that we're loving the new digs.
3. Josh got a job: This is the most exciting thing for me, since it's what will let me leave my job completely come mid-late June. He got hired in the Med/Surg department at one of the local hospitals. We considered briefly looking into living in the DFW area, since that's an area that I like (minus the fact that they have ZERO H-E-B stores), but the Lord saw fit to have us stay right here in College Station, which I'm also ok with.
Summer is looking to be a busy time for us. We're still waiting to see if Josh will be working a day or night shift, we have 2 weddings coming up, as well as a trip to Colorado to visit family. Our dog has decided that he wants to be an indoor dog only, and will currently only go outside to use the bathroom. Jude is on a nap strike today, which is not going to end well for one of us, and it won't be me. Ha.
