His vocabulary has seemed to explode in the last month. He jabbers constantly, but does have a lot of things that he recognizes and says by name. He now says: mama, dada, gigi, h (aeee), ry-ry, brynn (buhh-nn), paige (pai), nanny, poppy, cracker (kah-r), milk (m-ih), banana (nana), watch (wa-wa), baby (bebe), uh-oh, night-night, bye-bye, bath (baaah), puppy (puh-peh), dog (doh), grimm (gimm), ball (ba), car (cah), go (guh), more (muh), thank you (ta-ooh), please (peh), boo. He can make fire truck sounds and tell you what a puppy says (wuf-wuf).
He's starting to know how to do things when we ask. If I ask him to get his cup and bring it to me, he will go find it. He's also starting to learn how to put toys back in his box (with help from us). He can also open and close cabinet drawers and doors when he's asked. He's started to pick up books and "read" to himself and sometimes when we're reading or watching tv he will point out an object he knows.
He flips back and forth between 1 and 2 naps per day. We're hoping it's just a holiday side affect and we will go back to 2 on a more consistent basis. He loves to be with other kids, especially if they're a little bit older, since he likes to run around and play. His favorite toys right now are cars and balls.
This month he's also perfected the "stand in the middle of the room and scream" when he's not getting his way (usually over food). He's very independent minded, but most days he minds pretty well. :)
