Rubble and Chicken Biscuits

This morning we voluntarily woke up at 5:30am and headed to the A&M Polo Fields to watch the Plaza Hotel get blown up.

It's been an eyesore for a long time here, which is a shame considering its proximity to campus and that it was something a lot of visitors saw on their way in. Not that I'm totally vain like that, but c'mon... it was ugly.

We were in good company. A lot of people from the community came out to see the big event. Maybe it was because buildings being blown up is really cool or maybe because we live in a small town and are starving for entertainment beyond the movie theater and the old man that widdles wooden serving spoons in front of the antique shop. Either way, we had a great time.

Apryl spent the night and came with us for some added fun. After the building went KABOOM, which only took about 5 seconds all together, we waited in the car for 30 minutes to let traffic let up and went to Whataburger for honey butter chicken biscuits.

Apryl was not sure about waking up this early
