Porch Swings and Squinkies

We had a great Easter weekend. For once, it seemed like the weather understood that it should be warm, but not too hot, sunny and with a light breeze. At my parents house, this kind of weather just begs you to go outside, pull up a rocking chair, and enjoy the view.

Saturday was full of kid friendly things. While the grown ups chatted, the three dogs got more attention than they knew they wanted from two very eager kiddos. Later that afternoon, the kids got into their egg hunting gear (read: Mom approved outfits) and I got the pleasure of hiding eggs. Once the eggs were found, candy sorted, and a quick education on a Squinkie given, we took some cute family pics for R&R and the kidlets.

Due to eating BBQ at Dukes (along with an increasing number of people who saw Tim Tebow preach not too far away) our Easter clothes were not picture worthy. We opted instead to eat THE pie and enjoy the weather.

We took some family pictures on Sunday before we left. Unfortunately they're on my dad's camera, so until I can get them sent this way, the blogging world will have to wait.
