One Month.

Dear Jude,

Are we really already at one month!? It doesn't seem like it's been that long since we were leaving the hospital, but at the same time, it's weird to think about my days not involving you.

You being here is so much better than pregnancy ever was. I can honestly say I don't miss it at all, even though it was pretty easy and uneventful for me. The only times I wish you were still in my tummy are the times I'm sleepy and you insist on being wide awake. But, I quickly remember how awkward my belly was and I retract the thought.

You are growing and changing so quickly all of the sudden. For the first couple weeks you really just wimpered, ate, slept, and filled up diapers. Now, you've discovered you can scream and people come running. You like that trick. You also want to hold your head up (too soon, baby love!) and you are starting to notice the world around you little by little.

You are a cuddly little boy. I think I set a pattern for you early on by rocking you to sleep in your nursery at night and after nursing you. It's hard when I want to get things done and I wish I could just put you down, but at the same time it's a nice reminder that sometimes I just need to stop and enjoy you being this small. I had someone tell me that you can't spoil a baby in the first 6 weeks, so I tell myself that every time I pick you up and let you sleep in my arms.

This month has been a lot of traveling. You went to Christmas celebrations in Waco, Grand Prairie, and Georgetown. You got to meet many a cousin, aunt, uncles, and see your grandparents again. Thankfully you love your carseat and you even tried out a K'tan when we went to a presentation at A&M. You really enjoyed the K'tan and slept the entire time we were out. I figured you would enjoy it, it combined being right up next to me and being wrapped in a blanket.

We just love you so much little guy and can't wait to see what the next month brings!
