After getting home, getting settled, going on the holiday circuit, coming home, and resettling in I finally got around to taking pictures of Jude's room.
When I was working on his room, I never had a specific theme. The goal was to create a room that fit the following criteria:
1. Not too "baby". I wanted it to have a lot of elements that we could transition into his "big boy" room as he got older.
2. Sentimental/Purposeful. I love when rooms have personal touches and when items in them have a story behind them. I also really appreciate something serving a purpose and not just taking up space. If they can dual purpose, they're even better.
3. Fit in with our house. Our house is a real modge-podge of things. I decorate with things I love, so that winds up giving our house an eclectic mix-match feel. I didn't think some super sleek nursery was going to really look right.
The end result is something that I absolutely love. I think everything in the room has a story behind it or has some sentimental attachment. Enjoy!
