Cravings

Early in my pregnancy, my love for foods I was already crazy about hit into high gear: sweet tea, plain M&Ms, pizza, Mexican food, and my other favorite foods were just more tasty sounding. I never counted these as a craving because I would crave them baby or not.

My first "real" craving was Dr. Pepper.

I'm usually not a real soda drinker, but I wanted a Dr. Pepper every single day. I called my brother (the Dr. Pepper addict of the family) and told him to quit influencing his niece/nephew. That craving was fairly short lived, only about 2-3 weeks

Since around week 14, I really, really, really am into sour gummy candy.

What's funny is that I HATE sour candy. Like, I really, really hate it but it's all I want. I went through a really big bag of sour gummy bears first and now I'm working my way through a bag of Sour Life Savor Gummies.

It's crazy to me what changes about your body during pregnancy, but the food issues are the most interesting to me. I mean, why does growing another human being suddenly make your taste buds go, "Hey, I really like that food you used to hate. Let's get some!!"

Oh pregnancy, you are so fun.
